  • In what way do you practice sustainability at the retreats?
Great question 🙂 At Yogaion, we care deeply about our environment and do our best to honour the earth through small, conscious choices. While the retreat house in Cantabria is not fully sustainable, we try to offset this with our own practices — buying mostly local and organic food, minimising waste, and encouraging mindful use of resources. We kindly ask guests to support this too: – Please avoid letting water run while brushing your teeth – Keep showers short – Reuse towels whenever possible It might not be perfect, but every small step helps — and together, we create a more respectful and responsible space.

Absolutely. You don’t need prior experience in yoga, Pilates, or strength training to join. SoulSculpt is designed for women of all levels and offers layered options for every body. The only things we ask you to bring are: An open attitude A curious mind A willingness to show up for yourself You’ll be guided with care and clarity every step of the way.

  • Do I need to bring my own Yoga mat
All the mats, props and other attributes are provided for. So you can bring your mat, but it is not necessary.
  • Can I join if I am pregnant?
You can, of course, join the retreat, but unfortunately, it is not possible to join the Yoga or surf classes if you are pregnant. The only exception to this rule is if you already have a very strong Yoga practice and are willing to take pregnancy classes before the retreat. Hence, you know better what to do & avoid and most importantly take complete responsibility and knowledge that the most important thing at this time is the pregnancy & the health of the mother & baby.
  • How is the weather & water temperature in Cantabria, Spain
Thanks to the Gulf Stream, Cantabria — part of Spain’s lush northern coast known as Green Spain — enjoys a temperate climate year-round. The region has a humid oceanic climate, with warm summers and mild winters, making it a beautiful place to visit in any season. The Cantabrian Sea stays at a moderate temperature throughout the year. In summer, the water often reaches over 20°C, perfect for swimming and enjoying water activities. If you plan to surf in May, July, or September, a 3/2 mm wetsuit is usually enough. Swimming during these months is especially enjoyable, with plenty of sun and sea time. Even January often brings mild, sunny days — ideal for hiking in the lower part of the mountains or along the coast. With the right layers, outdoor adventures are absolutely possible and often surprisingly pleasant in mid-winter.
