Self love; is the best love.

During our Yoga retreat in Portugal, we will practice self-love with a ' Self-Care with Abdominal Massage’ workshop.

Taking care of yourself is probably the most important job you have to do in your lifetime. Sounds selfish? When was the last time you were in an aeroplane and did not hear the advise to first put on your own mask before you help anyone else? Never right!? Taking care of yourself is just like that and actually the least selfish thing you can do!


Of course, taking care of oneself can mean something different for everyone. Like eating healthy food, going to a yoga retreat, catching that early morning surf, going on a nature hike or just relaxing a day on the sofa in front of the fireplace with a good book.


According to Ivana our amazing therapist at Yogaion retreats in Portugal: "One of the most valuable gifts you can give to yourself is nurturing self-love and acceptance, massaging your belly is a part of self-care." During all of our retreats, Ivana takes our guests on a blissful massage journey. But from 6- 12 July during the Pause retreat, she will do something extra special as she will implement a great self-care practice: an abdominal care workshop.


Ivana explains: "In this workshop, you will learn a life-changing tool to address many conditions that affect most people (involving digestive, respiratory, urinary, immune, nervous and reproductive systems). When one or more of these systems get obstructed the internal organs react by storing unhealthy energy that can reverse into more serious symptoms. With abdominal self-massage, you can harmonize your digestive tract by encouraging homeostasis and the movement necessary to absorb nutrients, secrete, and function optimally. You can help remove blockages responsible for poor blood circulation, painful periods, urinary and bladder complaints and much more. You will become aware and connect with your belly and feelings, emotions and memories that the ’tissues have stored."

Nourish yourself like a goddess


About Ivana: She studied Abdominal massage techniques from various cultures and incorporates those concepts with therapeutic oils when treating each individual in an abdominal Massage session.
